On April 29th 2010, five hundred people were assembled at Laval’s Salle André-Mathieu for the 29th edition of the Laval Chamber of Commerce’ annual Dunamis awards ceremony.

 

Twelve Laval companies were rewarded including Produits Alimentaires Berthelet who received the award in the manufacturing company category. This category recognizes companies for excellence in their product manufacturing and raw material transformation operations.

 

Each year, a committee made up of Laval business people select the candidates as well as the twelve winning companies. « The Dunamis awards aim to showcase and recognize the leadership, excellence, audacity and perseverance of business leaders who, despite difficult economic times, worked to preserve the vitality of their respective companies » noted Diane Fellice, President of the Laval Chamber of Commerce.

 

Guy Berthelet accepted the award from Mrs. Fellice, representing FPInnovations and Mr. Christian Provencher, representing Samson, Belair, Deloitte & Touche. « At this proud moment, I would like to share this prestigious award with all of our employees who, through their sustained hard work, help us remain market leaders in our field. Thanks to them, we can focus on what is fundamental to us as a company; not being the largest but being the best in our industry » noted Guy during his acceptance speech.

 

Produits Alimentaires Berthelet has been located in Laval for thirty-four years. This was the company’s first participation in the Dunamis awards competition.
