Beef and Barley Soup

Berthelet Signature Beef flavour Broth base (50 g of powder and 1.5 liters water)

125 ml

pearl barley

250 ml

carrots, diced

250 ml

celery, diced


onion, diced

15 ml

olive oil


bay leaf

To taste

Freshly ground pepper to taste


Step 1
In a large sauce pot, sauté the vegetables and the barley in olive oil for 2 to 3 minutes

Step 2
Add the beef broth and the bay leaf

Step 3
Bring to a boil and let simmer for 30 to 35 minutes

Step 4
Add pepper before serving


Tip: you can add leftover pulled beef to enhance this soup. Add at the end of the cooking time
